چکیده

The Silica monolith particles (SMP) were prepared from Tetra-Methyl-Ortho-Silicate (TMOS) and characterized by Fourier transforms infrared (FTIR), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), surface area analyzer. FTIR analysis showed the Si?O stretching confirming SMP formation. SEM provided information about mean diameter of (1?5 µm). EDX confirmed presence silicon oxygen in SMP. Moreover, calculated for was found to be around 367 m2/g, whereas BJH pore size distributed 87.15 along with total volume radius 0.073 cm3/g 16.627 Å, respectively. Besides, removal efficiency 96%. Various kinetic equations used calculate adsorption parameters. Overall, results show that most appropriate model kinetics data pseudo-second order while mechanism best explained Langmuir isotherm. highest Basic Red 5 dye after 120 min at 298 K 576 mg/g. thermodynamics parameters (Enthalpy, Gibb’s energy, Entropy) also estimated. ?H° (0.995 kJ/mol) value depicted endothermic nature process. non-spontaneous aspect process evident ?G° values which 60.431, 328.93, 339.5 kJ/mol 293, 303, 313 K, From high value, it can concluded adsorbent a potential reclamation dyes wastewater.

Kinetics and isotherm studies of Remazol Red adsorption onto polyaniline/ cerium oxide nanocomposites

Polyaniline/cerium oxide (PANI/CeO2) composites were prepared and characterized by XRD, FT-IR, nitrogen adsorption/desorption isotherms and TEM techniques. The PANI/CeO2 composites were used for removal of Remazol Red (RB-133) from aqueous solution. The adsorption behaviour of dye was studied at different experimental conditions of solution pH and reaction temperature. The adsorption isotherm s...

Further Study of Adsorption of Crude Oils onto Acetylated Corn Silk and its Kinetics and Equilibrium Isotherm

Oil spills from tanker or oil well have detrimental effects on environment and economy. One of the most economical and efficient methods for oil spill clean-up is mechanical extraction by sorbents which are not only the safest methods but also the least expensive of spill control. The potential use of agricultural by-products such as corn silk for adsorbent of crude oil from water systems was p...
